APIMONDIA is the International Beekeeping Congress. It has been organized since 1897 by the association of beekeepers with the same name. Currently this association brings together 81 countries from all over the world. Representatives from different countries meet every two years to exchange knowledge and ideas during the congress and present the latest innovations in the apiculture field.
Apimondia 2017 - "Let's bee where the continents meet" it was held for the 45th time in Istanbul, the largest city of Turkey. From September 29 to October 4, Istanbul became a beekeeping center, gathering more than 12,000 visitors under the roof of the Istambul Congress Center.
The history of Apimondia shows the great experience of the organization. During the congress the jury consisting of experts from all over the world evaluated stands, devices, bee products and publications and works of artists to award medals in several categories.
Our company has been preparing for this project for several months, we wanted to show off the best side not only substantively but also visually. This is demonstrated by the size of our stand. As the only company we had an area of nearly 150m2.
The number of visitors exceeded our wildest expectations. Over these few days we have conducted almost 2,000 conversations with clients. We have nearly 60 potential distributors from 20 countries with whom we can start cooperation. We observed an advantage guests from the Far East countries and Africa.
Work on the stand started from early morning till late evening hours. Fortunately, we were able to count on the support of our distributors for what we would like to thank Apimaye and Al Najeh.
We were impressed by the organization at the highest level and the extent of the whole event. Apart from our company from Poland arrived Bartnik Sadecki who presented his honey and bee products. As Lyson Company we can proudly say that we brought 3 medals from this year's Apimondia Two brown and one gold. The first was awarded to the "BeeLab" project for professional monitoring of apiaries and the second to modern incubator for rearing bee queens. Gold was awarded to the artist Prof. Stanisaw Brach, whose works were exhibited in the category "Decorative or artistic works".
Pasiek's journal was also praised for publication "The Calendar of Beekeepers with Passion" by Professor Pawe Chorbiski. He won a gold medal in the category "Book Publishing". Our participation in this year's Apimondia is extremely fruitful, giving us the opportunity to gain further contacts and strengthen our position on the market. In two years we see you in Canada :)
